This week I want to focus on solving improper integrals, since I know they can be quite challenging for many students and we are currently covering this topic in my Calc 2 class this semester. To kick things off I chose one from the homework assignment that wasn’t too easy or too hard…I have more challenging ones coming next! How did you do? Were you able to solve this on your own correctly?

Hi, seeing that the limits of integration are conjugates of each other can't we check for symmetry and see that f(-x) = -f(x) and conclude that f(x) is an odd function hence its integral is zero.
