ZL1 Dyno and 1/4 Mile Dyno Pulls

Nice sounding ZL1 from 510 Race Engineering.
It's really cool seeing the 1/4mile dyno pulls. I would have shown the times but they were n't reading correctly so I left them off.

I used to be into that whole Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge thing...but then I grew up..and now I just love cars. I'm happy to see the horse power wars return, back in the 70's it was thought that the days of factory race cars/showroom race cars would never return. The great thing about these cars..they have great brakes, handling, they start and run in hot or cold weather, light years better gas mileage, reliable..all around better cars.

1/4 miles times weren't reading right more than likely because the driver was letting the tires roll before starting the run and the computer picked up the tire movement and started the runs then resulting in a slower time. I don't know how these things work but that seems like a good possible cause.

I have a Dodge charger srt 8, with a super charge, and it's running about 600 horses now.it's a 2006!

I'm happy with my '13 GT Track Pack. It puts in time at local road course and autocross events. You don't have to have the fastest car on the block to enjoy it. Watching some tool who can afford a fancy, top-of-the-line model....but can't drive it....is just as bad as those douches flooding the street IMO. Besides, you must be out your damn mind if you think I'm gonna spend 60+ on a Camaro or Mustang. Shit...for that much, I'd rather have a Z06.

I by no means think that Ford's new lineup is a joke. Those 5.0 coyote's are all around an amazing design to me. The post 2011 F series trucks and Stangs are close to top of their class if not #1. I personally wouldn't buy a Pony or Camaro without "going big" just because of the sheer number that are on the streets now; Most of them being V6's. It's a shame. At the same time, who wants to pay 60k for a vehicle anyway? Not this guy. 50K is my max, and it better come with a hand job or something.

Yup, they're nice. My buddy has one in his F150. (Tundra 5.7 is right up there as well) But to throw a after market turbo on anything new is not only costly, but would void the warranty. The 5.0 Mustangs are no doubt legit Stangs', but the V6 posers running around take away from their appeal. Why any auto maker puts a V6 in a American muscle car is beyond me. They should build separate designs for something like that. The GT500 and ZL1 are the only muscle cars that stand out anymore.

Agree about Ford flooding market with sh*tty rental car V6 Mustangs but come on dude you have to give it up to the base Mustang GT with 420HP and six speed + DOHC is a hell of a lot of car for the cash. With that said too many of the GTs end up looking like cheesed out rental cars with the tacky sticker kits and cheap body kit add ons. Keep them clean!

And again, Nowhere did I say the V6 models are in competition with the higher tiered models; They degrade the name. If you're trying to imply that the V6 model Camaro/Mustang/Challenger keeps up with the V8 models, you're delusional. To be honest, I have no idea where you're going with this. re-read the conversation. You seem to be lost.

ZL1 is the only Camaro worth owning, and the GT500 is the Stang' worth owning. You almost have go top of the line to stand out from the masses of BS V6 models being driven by douche bags flooding the streets.
