2020 design beams on cathedral ceilings

How does one make (in 2020) a soffit of a staircase - one part at top of ceiling 96 and other point at header of door at 84"?

Although it only has you pick the Beam's depth, going into it's attributes you can find the option "Beam Thickness" which is defaulted to 8"s and adjust from there.
