Arsenic exposure most commonly comes from drinking water, especially from well water or groundwater sources. Some parts of the country have higher levels of naturally occurring arsenic in the water.

Telling us that it may be in our drinking water still doesn't protect us. Why not tell us how to eliminate it from our city or well water? Arsenic is a fairly reactive element, so it should be easy to quickly reduce the amount by sending that water thru a proper filter. The longer the water is in contact with the filter, the more arsenic will be removed. A simple filter with ultra fine steel wool, for example, would work just fine, then replace the steel wool regularly, depending on the arsenic load in the water. Other materials would work, as well, but ultra fine steel wool is readily available and it's cheap. I do not recommend you do this. You know, liability issues, so don't try this at home. Talk to you water softener guy and have him install a filter his company makes that removes arsenic. If he doesn't have an arsenic filter, keep looking. Call your local water company first and ask them their arsenic level. The federal government is concerned about arsenic in the water supply, so they have required all water companies test for it. @WaterNerdT should have told you this.
