In this special episode, we accompany the mayor of Coesfeld, Eliza Diekmann, for a day at work. We not only find out what a typical day looks like for her, why it can sometimes last 14 hours and how she balances work and family life as a young mother. Eliza also tells us how she became mayor, although that was never her goal, and how much you earn as mayor.

Fascinating to see that she stood as an independent supported by different parties. That is unthinkable here in France where the parties basically refuse to work together. And even at local level, there's a lot of competition and bad feeling. The Mayoress gives out a totally different vibe - positive, enthusiastic and willing to listen to everyone. Love it!
