In the interests of accuracy I'd like to rewrite that headline if I may. So the phrase 'NATO prepare for the worst' becomes 'NATO can't wait for a war to justify their existence and salaries'.

I served in a number of places but somehow I always ended up with 2 Royal Anglian next door, BAOR, Cyprus then Northern Ireland. One of the best Infantry battalions I saw. This Battalion must be shown respect but suspect the GB trolls will not.

With this escalation are white, young men now being allowed to sign up for active service? I don’t think enough is being reported about the positives of a military career. If you’re in the navy and married subsidised housing is available. You get a very good pension. There’s also a lot to be said for the friendships made, support and mentorship. This is one of the reasons why men went into mining. The work was tough but there was a camaraderie that is so missing these days in office/computer jobs.
