Interlaced Stars (Zen Magnets)

Made with 7119 Zen Magnets. Whew, this one was tough! This is an interlaced combination of two of my previous shapes: the Small Stellated Dodecahedron, and the Spiky Star.

Unlike the two "Interlaced Polyhedra" shapes I've done, this is supported by two sets of spokes connected to an inner core, like the Dual-Spoked Polyhedron.

@animesquirt For one thing, they're cheaper than Nanodots. Also, despite the price difference, I think that Zen Magnets are slightly higher quality, in terms of coating durability and size uniformity. To be fair, there are people who would say it's the other way around, and Nanodots are certainly not lacking in quality... I just find that Zens perform a little better, especially when it comes to the big complex shapes.

Another great thing is that Zen Magnets gives away LOADS of free magnets.

@animesquirt They're very similar, yes. I personally prefer Zen Magnets, but there are also people who prefer Nanodots. There are also Buckyballs and Neocube, but those are definitely much lower quality.

Incredible. I would add this as a video response to some random icosahedron frame video that has a couple thousand views, because you're using the same frame idea, just alot more complex.

cool thanks for the link. I'm very tempted to buy some, but they seem to be the only magnet-ball company which doesn't have a colour variety. Guess I'll have to mix and match...

@saxplayingcompnerd Good call about the video response. Funnily enough, though, there's not actually an icosahedron to be found in this shape!

@oED209o Well, if you're not using Zen magnets, that's why they didn't let you into the group! You have to already have some Zen magnets, and take pictures of the shapes you make with them.
