Last night Mamelodi Sundowns advanced to the semi-finals of the Caf Champions League in a controversial match against Yanga SC of Tanzania at the Loftus Stadium in Pretoria.

The Brazilians progressed 3-2 on penalties after the match ended in a stalemate after Yanga were denied what seemed a clear goal midway through the match.

The decision sparked a debate on the match's fairness and VAR's competence.

To speak more about the match and the controversial decision we are joined by Far Post journalist Mthokozizi Dube and former FIFA referee Jerome Damon.

If cAF does not provide answers as to what has caused Yanga's goal against Mamelodi to be rejected, I suggest that we do not allow our clubs to participate in the tournament until he resigns. Let's not share the hooliganism that this corrupt person is preparing.

It is a shame that the CAF president's club is being treated brutally like this, it breaks the heart and kills African football

this is not acceptable at all

If you look at the downward movement of the ball against that upright after hitting the crossbar, then you need neither VAR nor GOAL TECHNOLOGY to declare it a clear goal. CLEAR GOAL.

Please soccerloving nation, let us not focus on the spot against the goalline, but the movement of the ball against the crossbar going downwards.

CLEAR GOAL!

Now if was not a goal according to VAR, then it supposed to be a corner kick
