Very fun fact about this song. Back in 1981 when released, it shot to the top of the billboard chart and was at number 1 for nine non-consecutive weeks. Which means during that nine week run, it was bumped out of the number 1 spot for one week, then reclaimed the number 1 spot a week later. It can't be overstated what an incredible feat that is for a song to do that. I love this song by Kim Carnes from all the way back in 1981. Still a great song to this day.

My beautiful wife song. We used to dance to this song all the time. Just by ourselves in our living room. I was dieing from liver failure. I didn't even know she was sick when she was taking care of me. I was bedridden at Loma Linda Hospital for almost a year. I wasn't there for you when you left me. I always kept your ashes next to me, and carried you to every surgery I had. I hoped that if I didn't wake up. It would make it easier to find your soul again. December 7, 2022 I had my entire liver, and small intestines taken out. I got a new liver from some poor young man that died that same day. I carried your ashes through 15 hours of surgery. I'm doing fantastic now my love. I'm back at Nursing school in a BSN program, and with my degree in Psychology already I'm going to work now in the same hospital that I was dieing in for a year. I'm going to work with transplant patients. I know I'll see you again my love. I'm excited to see you again. But, for whatever reason I stayed behind. I'm going to do the best with this life. I'm happy to know that when this life is finished. I'll get to lay my head next to yours again. No one has ever loved me in life the way you did. I'm happy that I got to spend all those year's with you. I love you.
