On this music the Shure is slightly more detailed with a little more body to the sound. But they are close.

I cant listen to the SHURE now, and I used a M95HE back in the late 70's and early 80's before moving to a b&o 20EN, then on to a Grace F9E. The Nag has much better timber and sweetness in the mids, the SHURE a wider soundstage, but with bleached and dry harmonics with some pretty heavy 3rd and 5th harmonic distortion. My memory says that my Vintage M95HE with OE stylus sounded better than this JICO. Is this a Hyperelliptical? Maybe it needs more hours on it. I'm also used to listening with discrete component Class A phono stages . No Op-AMPs with their limited dynamic range and sound killing feedback gain control. I'm listening with pro equipment and studio standard HP. - Thanks for the video post -Sandy

Shure my a mile. I have the Jico SAS on a M95ED and I prefer it to my V15 III for most music.

JT311 is tight, low end is a bit too thin, mids appear ok, high end seems clean & clear, channel seperation disappointing
m95 has better low)bit deeper, but still tight, mids are fine, high end is lil sharp & a bit messy channel seperation is ok
(monitoring with Sennheiser HD650)

Geez, is that Nagaoka stylus in okay shape? The Shure has a ridiculously better stereo image.

But that Nagaoka JT311DE is only 35 euro NOS. It's not fair to compare those, they are in a different class. A nagaoka JT322 with a shibata would be a better comparison.

Hello. Thanks for this video. That N95 stylus has a guard to protect it when not in use? Am I right? Thanks!
