first time seeing that 4 pcs. smaller spacer rod method, most videos use the full length rod without the flux coating of course which i see most of the time they're having difficulty, definitely remembering this. thanks!

Do you have any information on the altenator welders that you can attach under the hood of a truck? Looking for info as to how good they are and can you use your current altenator?

high low . if your land is uniform just look around the bevel to see if the tops of the lands line up

I used to eyeball everything because in the field nothing is ever perfect

This is great but not practical in the field, what I do is I eye the pipe from the inside and use a saw blade spacer, use a 1/8th landing, then put on 4 tacks using the red Lincoln’s ( they are meant to be used to punch through thick landings ) and I used a 0.045 cutting wheel and rip the root, that way I’m efficient and accurate the entire time.
