I am really amazed at the overall quality of teaching at MIT. This is exactly what I have been looking for that is lacking in the teaching of most statistics classes from other universities.

This is why MIT students are so great. Not only are they gifted but the quality of the instruction is outstanding.

Thank you, Professor Tsitsiklis. My professor can't explain convergence "in probability" in plain English; he only repeats math notations again and again. Your video is very helpful to me. I appreciate your contribution. Thank you.

This is the BEST explanation of this I have ever heard. Thank you. 🙌🏻

F this class is a life-saver. Haven't been to lectures for a while. This is a better substitute for in-person class

What an amazing explanation. Once I paused the first slide (for the bottom portion) and expanded out those expressions using simple examples, it really made a lot of sense.

I have to say this is the best video on the convergence of random variables in probability

thank you very much, it took a while to find such a great tutorial where the intuition of convergence is explained rather than just the mathematical formulation... thanks!!

Why in 5:20 you draw a gaussian shape distribution?

why a sequence of random variables are able to subtract like this : [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6] - a how can you say P(|[1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6] - a| >= e) = 0
