Technical Briefing — 2024/06/07

City staff will provide information to Council members about the final recommended Solid Waste Master Plan (SWMP), which will guide how we manage waste over the next 30 years in a socially, environmentally, and economically responsible manner. Staff will also outline the operating requirements and capital investment needs for the SWMP, and the recommended funding model.

Both plans will be brought to the Environment and Climate Change Committee for consideration on June 18, and to City Council on June 26.

City staff will be available to answer questions. Media will be able to ask questions 10 minutes after the technical briefing ends and Councillors have finished asking staff their questions.
