I'm gonna throw my two cents out here, I really enjoy her cover. I don't hear any autotune, I hear a nice reverb and something like a phaser effect (obviously not a phaser effect though), and some good equalization and leveling that make it flow nicely. If the sound tech added some pitch correction on a couple notes, that's totally fine as well. And maybe, the artist really liked how it sounded as well. Some like the dry vocal, and some like the wet vocal more. I personally like my covers to sound like I'm in a bigger, emptier space, with a nice reverb and gain, and a tiny amount of echo.

It takes a lot of time and patience and practice to edit and mix vocals, and it takes multiple recordings to get it right sometimes. They put this cover out, because they were proud of it. I think the sound tech did a great job, and so did the singer. They knew what they wanted for their sound, and what's done is done, there's no point in arguing about how they could have edited the vocals.

I work as a paramedic and have transported many people injured and sick knowing many times that this was going to be there last/only ride and could not help but feel for there family and friends.

I listened to this song 4 times, crying the whole time. I'm sure this song means different things to different people.

For me, it was 5 years ago. My wife and I had been separated for 6 weeks and I given up. The words seem to fit perfectly.

10/13/16 I wrote my notes, and stood at the bank of a river holding a gun to my head. I watched the rain and leaves fall into the river. The leaves landed and then were pulled into the water and spiraled off downstream.

It was at this point I realized I didn't want to die yet. A week later we got back together. I went to counseling, gave my gun away and got on the right medicine. I'm the happiest I've ever been.
