The American government granted immunity to everyone who worked at unit 731 in exchange for the results of studies they did there, and most people who worked there roam free

Penicillin was developed in the 40s, and the study ended in 72. Before penicillin there was a weaker and less effective antibiotic, but that was the common treatment at the time. They did not provide either and opted instead to pay them a meager wage to participate and to pay for their funerals when they eventually passed of syphilis or complications. I learned about it in school as optional reading for my biology course and i was appalled.

Not to mention they did the same thing (but arguably worse) on unwilling Guatemalans, and also the attempt to cover up what went on in Japans Unit 731 (while they weren’t directly involved, covering up what happened it still messed up.)

I'm Saying they withheld treatment to them is gross negligence in saying words. They gave married men syphilis!! They gave it to them and didn't tell them and didn't treat them and told all local doctors to not tell them or treat them spreading it to wives and children on purpose!!

Be sure when telling this story to also mention that it was also the government that gave these men syphilis. Still, it's a sad story

They weren't just refused treatment, they were also purposely infected to study

Now understand if they're capable of doing that to our own servicemen what else have they done you can't just say oh that's a conspiracy it's not a conspiracy when it turns out to be true we need to force these people into more accountability and when I say these people I mean our government our politicians and all the idiots who work for them

The crazy part is the African American doctors were on board with the study. It only became an issue when some more affluent African American patients were asked to have their treatment withheld. Once the people had issues with the studies being conducted here they moved to other countries

I actually found out about this from a song called Tuskegee. What a horrible display of racism still being amongst us

Also it began with 600 men and ended with 71 men

To say “withheld treatment” would be unethical but yeah they did way worse and while no one confessed to the motive, it was because they were black.

Read about this when I wrote a paper on medical ethics. Would recommend reading it.
