Dolittle: Saving the Queen HD CLIP

What’s happening in this Dolittle movie clip?
Dolittle (Robert Downey Jr. of Chaplin, Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes) returns in time to heal the queen (Jessie Buckley of Wild Rose). Sticks reveals that Lord Thomas Badgley (Jim Broadbent from Longford and Moulin Rouge!), one of the Queen's chairmen, poisoned her in order to take the crown for himself, and it was he who ordered Müdfly (Michael Sheen from Twilight) to foil Dolittle's quest. The Queen has him arrested for treason, and thanks Dolittle for saving her.

What’s the Dolittle movie about?
After the loss of his wife seven years earlier, the eccentric Dr. John Dolittle (Robert Downey Jr. of Chaplin, Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes), the famous doctor and veterinarian of Queen Victoria of England (Jessie Buckley of Wild Rose) isolates himself behind the walls of his mansion, with only his menagerie of exotic animals as his only company. But when the young Queen falls seriously ill, Dr. Dolittle, at first reluctant, is forced to set sail for a mythical island in an epic adventure in search of a cure. As he meets ancient rivals and discovers strange creatures, this journey will lead him to regain his brilliant spirit and courage. In the course of his quest, the doctor is joined by a young apprentice (Harry Collett) and a merry band of animal friends, including an anxious gorilla, an enthusiastic but stubborn duck, a bickering duo between a cynical ostrich and a cheerful polar bear, and finally a stubborn parrot, Dolittle's most trusted advisor and confidant.

This film gets too much hate. It’s fun, it’s family-friendly, and it’s actually a better adaptation of the books than the Eddie Murphy films.

This film made my birthday when it came out. Great story, charming and funny characters, not to mention I got the theater all to myself. Smack in the middle with no one else around, as if it were my own personal cinema room. Definitely a wonderful night to remember.
