I do it a different method I drill a couple of holes to get the tie straps through and then I place suction cups through the straps and anchor it down with a suction cups on the bottom of the glass and that keeps it from floating, make sure you get suction cups that have a ring on them

Can I ask you how long have you been in the fish hobby?
Do you have any recommended products that you use for your top water for example API water conditioner or seachem prime I don't know which one is the best.
I'm an American living in Taiwan and I used to use a p i water conditioner but they don't sell it anymore which is sad because it was working really good and we have seachem prime but I honestly don't know if it's good at removing all of the chemicals that are in water

I got bad advice that it only takes 40 minutes . I did longer than that for spiderwood and I thought it was ready but when I put it in my tank it still floats. Luckily I have a lid. I already planted on it tho so I can't fix it now. Gonna just have to wait for it to naturally waterlog in my tank lol
