WHY DO SO MANY INFJs FEEL UNHAPPY AT WORK?

Thinking about getting a career as an INFJ? I've been doing some research and I've spotted six general directions INFJs should explore when creating their best fit career. As thanks to all my patreons I want to offer more career and work advice so that all types can find a best fit career and happiness and flow at work. And four more for the INFJs that feel a little extra daring...

What is the best job for an INFJ? I think an INFJ can create healthy flow in a wide range of workplaces.

Academic Sector
If you go into the academic sector, consider humanist fields first. Or focus on social impact-research and research into nonprofits...

2. Entrepreneurial Sector

In the entrepreneurial sector, it’s good to avoid thinking about money and influence and to focus on social impact...

3. Creative Sector

Fields that stimulate your creativity, where you can work on design, development, and projects can be great for you as an introverted judging type.

4. Counselling Sector

You may think of working as a counsellor but counselling helps in a lot of fields, like HR, as a diplomat, or anywhere where you need to work on mediating between different groups.

5. Nurturing Sector

Here you may be working directly to help and support others through acts of charity, giving, support, or through a nonprofit.

6. Idealistic Sector

This is the sector where social initiatives start and where new ideas and projects become reality.

Four Challenging Careers For INFJs:

1. Opportunities Sector

2. Relationships Sector

3. Creative Sector

4. Artistic Sector

I'm an infj and only career I consider is artist, I love to create my worlds, characters and stories, the problem I have is what form of art should I choose because I love a lot of different things.

I found a well rounded satisfying career setting Tile/Stone work. Customers get a product that they love that they sometimes can't imagine. It provides a problem solving thought process to figure out what you can and can't do to get to your end goal. Sometimes you are asked to provide your own idea in parts or as a whole on what would look best. I tell them tile is always personal preference. It's what you want to look at for the next 10/20/30 years. There is also enjoyment from their admiration of the look and/or quality of the tile.

Don't know about other infjs but I'm pretty great at software testing. Thought I'd mention since it pays well and it's not necessarily a job people even know about.

The last 4 sectors pleases my true path more than the others, I feel it in the body, and "they" have resonated with me already, as I've begun to grow like crazy lately. All of them are of interest!

I think Id enjoy more like being a psychology professor, a counselor and also being active in non profit group..😇 so as express creativy through wisdom or art as possible if we are hurt that allows us to express how we trully feels..It can be an outlet for our feelings..

Thank you for the video. As an INFJ I started a career of 12 years in building surveying before realising I knew my type and that this job wasn't for me. Really interested in psychology, human behaviour, seeing others do well and organization. BUT I'm 37 and also need to consider cost & time to retrain in anything whilst security for my future. Any suggestions or advice I'd would be grateful.

Some great points. Thanks. Fave: Multiple balls in air will be very beneficial. What seems to be ideal or certain, seem mostly to be illusion. The pursuit of such things seems attractive. Being free of such things seems better. All of those fields seem desirable. Mix with who you are and what you want, and throw out some seeds... mmm mustard

I would have in mind as future careers: the academic field (I study economics) or counseling and when I'm retired, coaching

Erik, I'd like to hear your opinion about this idea, if you don't mind. I initially started out in mental health with a Masters degree in Psychology and (now) 15 yrs. experience as a social worker, case manager, and therapist. To be honest, although rewarding, it is not somethibg I enjoy. It's certainly not what I got in this field to do AND because I couldn't complete the dissertation, I could not finish the doctorate and thus get licensed. Needless to say, I've been unhappy and very underpaid for what I do.

Later in life, I stumbled upon the idea of law enforcement as a career that I would enjoy (social justice) immensely. Given my transferable skills, I can see myself as a specialized investigator, interrogator, or community relations specialist. I also think I would be an excellent street cop as well. As you may know, everyone has to start there anyway to gain that foundation of experience. I don't mind because I love the variety, the physical challenges, and I think it all appeals to my ESTP subconscious. ;)

Anyway, most videos about INFJ careers seem to discourage the idea of law enforcement. What are your thoughts? Which of the sectors you discussed (if any) aligns more with the demands of this type of career field?
