I never drop a phone in my entire life, but I like cases because I’m scared of scratches

Was able to pass down my almost 4 year old iPhoneXR down in near perfect condition because of the case and I think that’s pretty cool. My phone falls multiple times a day and although I can afford an iPhone, I can’t afford to spend the time it take to get repairs or replacements. Plus, I use it for the apple ecosystem and overall functionality anyway. Being cute wears off quick when you got things to do.

I stopped using a case when I got my new one (late 2020, ) because I was barely leaving the house. I decided to wait to buy a good-quality case, and I honestly love it. But I’m also a very careful person with my devices (cause I know I can’t afford a new one, ) so I’m always aware of my phone in the back of my mind lol So far, so good. Edit: I definitely think most people should get a case, though.

I would just get a clear thin case 😂 but most of the time I just use a bare phone with no case and its pretty solid! 🌼💛

I just bought a case for my iPhone se and it's messing with my cell signal badly so I'm done with using cases

I never use "UV filters" — protectors on my camera front lens. Big glass is beautiful on a camera, and looks ugly with a cheap piece of glass in front it it. I might do the same thing now with my new iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Tip: The mic array on the Yeti picks up around the sides. Speaking directly into the top of it like you are, it's not directly into a mic facing you.

Your argument against cases doesn’t really hold up except for the part about the phone looking better without it. I have a Pelican case I bought with my iPhone 6s for around $30, and I’ve dropped that phone so many times and yet the phone could pass for brand new. So, as much as I hate wearing a case that makes the phone look worse and feel thicker, I still do because it is cheaper than paying for apple care, and my phone would be destroyed without one

Totally agree with this idea. The iPhone feels and functions so much better without a case. However I haven’t yet followed through and actually used one without a case. Maybe on the next one. Good info on apple care.

The problem is the scratches, no matter if you don't drop it or take extreme care of it, without a case, it get scratches all around the shiny stainless steel
