Need more cowbell? There's a UNH student organization for that.

The puck drops and a familiar sound echoes around the Whittemore Center. Da-Da-Da-DaDa-Da-DaDa-Da-Da-Da-Da-DaDa!

There’s a lot of history behind the UNH cowbell and a group of students are making sure the chants and cheers of the past continue, as they create new ones to unify the UNH campus and community.

The UNH 'Cat Pack Captains, an official student organization, is dedicated to leading the student section cheers and chants at athletic events. Go behind the scenes with the students as they cheer on the men’s hockey team at White Out the Whit.

Produced by Jeremy Gasowski, UNH Communications and Public Affairs.

When I was a student @UNH in the later 1970s and early 80s the cowbell was handled by a guy (I forget his name) who had come to UNH on an exchange from UC-Chico. In those days, at Snively, we were center ice right behind the benches. Some chants used today were used them, sounds like some have been retired. Great to see the tradition continue.

UNH just has to bring back the pre game skate and clap with Gnarlz and Wild-E-Cat...not the same and how can the University just dump something that engages the fans? Keep the video but bring back the original intro!!
