Javagal Srinath bowled his best spell vs England in the world Cup 2003. I edited this fine spell of bowling by javagal Srinath so that his fan may enjoy the superb bowling of Srinath.

Best thing is he beats the batsman just puts his head down and goes for the next ball. No nonsense from mouth. Absolute underrated gentlemen.

Even after 15 years of international cricket and shoulder operation, he still use to ball 140+... Fabulous Srinath...

This jersey was an emotion for us back in school days. It should be brought back.

I remember trying to copy Javagal Srinath's bowling action during Bishen Singh Bedi sir's summer camp at Jamia university grounds. He used to tell me "oye khote action copy karne se kuch nahi honda, uska discipline aur line length copy Kumble, Srinath & Prasad; the trio that served Indian team like warriors, no sledging, no tantrums, just pure cricket....

So srinath had decided to rest his shoes before the wc but insisted by Ganguly.. he came on board for the wc..
Bowled at 140+.. and that was his 7th over in continuation at that age..
Absolute legend.. 🙏.. he and kumble fought like warriors for india and was evident every time they wore the jersey.. salute to them.

Our Mysore express was simply magnificent. A silent McGrath of India who bowled 140+ kph consistently with as usual outstanding line and length. He was also a good pinch hitter to add. Really Javagal Srinath deserved much better credit than what he got🙏

He was in his mid 30s during 2003 world cup. But he was clicking 140 consistently. One of the greatest cricketers India has ever produced. If the fielders were as good as today, he would have grabbed at least a 100 more wickets.

Srinath was a 150+kph bowler in his mid 90s peak. Even after his major shoulder injury in 1997 he was still the second fastest bowler of the 1999 World Cup behind Akhtar. It's such a shame speed guns weren't used as much in those days. He was just as fast as Donald and Younis, he just got rated as fast medium because he was Indian.

Everyone remembers the 6-23 by Nehra but none remembers the magnificent spell by Srinath to tide the batsmen from other end

One of the finest wicketless spells you'll ever see. Hard luck, but how well bowled. impeccable Srinath 👌🏻 👏 👍

Srinath has this calm demeanour. No sledging but he used to angry sometimes, overall a gentleman. He was not into flashy showoffs, he was the lead pace attack for a long time for India

Okay so....i couldn't accept that Srinath bowled over 150+ in the 96 WC but after seeing this bowling comfortably over 140 in the last stages of his career I'm convinced he bowled over 150+ in his prime. 🔥

During his period, If there had been a wicket keeper like Dhoni and aggressive fielders like present, definitely Sreenath would be the most dangerous and most leading wicket taking bowler in the world.
