Has any company ever come out with a driver that wasn’t their best and longest ever?

I’m a big fan of my Stealth 2.0. Gamed the Aeroburner 2.0 for over a decade before buying a Stealth. Ended up getting water inside the driver head, and when I contacted Taylormade, they shipped me a brand new Stealth 2.0 and told me to keep both drivers, which was incredible. I love the way it launches. I think the feel has improved over the original Stealth, it’s a little less hollow feeling than the original if you ask me, but that’s subjective, of course. Love the stock Ventus shaft. I don’t plan on ever swapping it out of my bag.

I do like that muted carbon sound/feel a lot. Some of the old Nike drivers had a similar feel/sound without the carbon. The high pitch titanium sound/feel doesn’t do it for me but neither does overly colored and different looking top designs. I just want that nice feel/sound and a classic look.

No. I shallnt be trying or buying any new drivers for a few years. Bought a brand new cobra last year.

Another overpriced tailormade driver. Sim2 just the same to be honest, I will probably try it in about a year as the old stealth is £270 now 😆
