Показать описание
In this video, I'll do a full teardown of a HP EliteDesk 800 G1. First I will completely disassemble the PC and go over all the components inside. Then, while rebuilding the machine, I will upgrade the memory, hard disk and install an SSD.

You can use this video if you want to replace your CPU, RAM, SSD, hard disk or anything else.

Picked one up for $40 usd with 2 monitors and a gaming mouse. I don't think I'll ever find another deal this good in my lifetime.

Thank you I really needed this. I'm planning to buy a computer of this type and I wanted to add a new HDD to it and now I know it will go in.

I bought this a few years ago it worked good but my mistake was I didn't add a gpu but now I will try to fix it and add a low profile gpu

I have this exact same system. I took my upgrade a bit further. 32 GB memory, 4790 CPU, delete DVD and HDD. This BIOS does not support NVMe boot device natively but I installed a PCI-e NVMe adapter and a 1TB NVMe drive. I was able to add NVMe boot support via the method presented in several more recent YT videos. The key was the Service Mode jumper near the white PCI-e slot. The jumper enables writing to the BIOS and when finished removing the jumper again makes the BIOS read only. Making this mod also enables booting in UEFI mode for the NVMe eventhough the BIOS is not fully NVMe. For a basic office PC it is pretty fast on Windows 10 Pro. It won't need to go in the landfill for quite some time.

this is amazing, thank you for making this -- i needed to learn how to disassemble this so I can repaint the case (turning this into a hand-me-down for my 8yo daughter, who loves pink)

I just transferred my HP Elitedesk 800 G1 to an old HP Pavilion case, added a gtx 1650 and I'm playing Forespoken right now. Extra things I had to do: 1.) Remove the power switch and lights from the front cover button, insert into the from cover of the Pavilion. 2.) To use my Elite desk cooling fan, I had to find some nuts that fit on the bolts in the fan too attach it to the mother board. The Elit desk mother does not have built in nuts. The fan bolts into the case. It ain't pretty but works like a champ.

Thanks for the video. Very good pc’s for emulating video games. I want to add a little more memory to mine though it goes quick.

Pretty good video. The only thing I would add is changing the CR2032 CMOS battery while you have the motherboard out.

thanks, I'm currently working on upgrading a similar one (though more recent, it's the 800 G2 SFF, with a 6th gen i5 and DDR4 RAM). Too bad you didn't add a GPU though, that's challenging since the back panel has some annoying metal bars that I'm gonna need to remove if I want to fit my low profile GPU.

Great Video, Thanks for sharing! I have the same model, can I install a WIFI adaptor in this PC, or have to choose a USB wifi?

Thank you for the video. HP's layout sure makes it easy to work on that PC. I'll definitively consider this model myself. 👍

BTW: what did you end up using to mount the SSD?

Thank you. This is the video I was looking for. Can you please suggest the max RAM and what Graphics Card can we have for this?
