I'm Done with Microbrand Watches

Have I run the gamut with microbrands on my watch collecting journey? I feel like it'll take alot for a microbrand to get my attention now.

What's your take on microbrands? Do you have any in your collection? Love them? Hate them?

The Best microbrand I have ever bought is the CannisterWatches Field Master which is a flawless tool watch:Brushed SS;saphire crystal;excellent bezel;everything lines up;Miyota 9015;+3sec/day;200M water resistance;includes a SS bracelet, Nato and tropical strap with a challenge coin all in a waxed canvas watch roll for $400. I have had Seikos at twice the price that keep less accurate time(- 14to -20sec/day) with extra lume floating around the dial which cannot compare with the aforementioned microbrand watch.

This guy needs a hug. Lol This was like watching someone talking about nothing. There are some great mircobrands that might become the next Rolex. I love the channel. Keep it up. Not your best video but keep it up.

I heard what you were saying. I have to mostly agree. As a cheap watch guy, these micro brands play well with my wallet. I have learned that Helm and Zelos are at a pretty good sweet spot for me. I am down to one from each brand. The AliExpress watches are becoming more of a past. I do have two "visiting" but will move on.. the clomages of the FXD and 600T. I have been picking up a few choice cheap Seikos. I currently have a couple turtles, a Sammy, and that sumo from you. I also have four different SKX's. I have five or six watches that I will sell when the time is right. I have two on my radar, one of the yellow SKX, and the other is the Mido Ocean Star Tribute. I'm trying to avoid the Aerotec coming out in January. Because that money is part of my Mido fund. I do see a goal of about 20 specialty watches, and four or five daily wears. Currently I am at 30 plus the two that I'm selling very soon. It's pretty easy to get pulled down a rabbit hole in the watch community. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't go out to clubs. My one vice, if it can be taken like that is my watch addiction. I'm very careful how I spend my money, must be the Scottish blood. I never have to go out and buy a watch, and find patience usually saves lots of money. The Mido will be my only full price watch, and I will likely buy it from The Bay with coupons and sales, unless a pristine used one comes around. I have sold quite a few watches over the last 10 years and I can honestly say I only lost money on one. I didn't make much money on them, I lost $25 on a micro brand. I am a true blue cheap watch guy. I have no interest in Rolex, Omega, etc, etc, I much prefer the variety of a collection of watches rather than a couple watches. Merry Christmas to you and yours, Happy New year! Looking forward to more of your ramblings and your videos! Cheers from Atlantic Canada!!!

It seems uncomfortably hot in your shed. Strip off a few layers and put the AC on for gods sake. Microbrands not even once bro. Except sometimes when they are great. My plankton brain is equally confused. Happy new year Madrock.

With respect, you are all over the place in this video. It felt like you are skating around what you really wanted to say.

There certainly some crappy, boring micro brands. Certainly you need to be selective. As always, as you gain more experience, and your tastes change, you won’t buy as many. You’ll probably opt for more traditional, luxury brands. This said, I just received a Serica last Nov, and my StidioUnderdog will come next month. 😂
