Today we're looking at a product that I sorely needed in the shop...a proper circle cutting jig for my router. After years of making my own scrap wood jigs, I finally decided to spend the money on a factory kit.

Join me as we open the box for a First Look at the Circle Guide Kit from Milescraft. We'll assemble it, set it up and use it to cut a medium sized circle with my little Ryobi fixed base router.

And please LIKE and COMMENT if you dig what you saw. And of course, tell all your people to check us out. We’ll have new stuff coming up all the time.

I appreciate that you include your mistakes when you "don't know what you're doing". I'm sure 90% of the people watching are because of the same reason.

Thanks for making this video I just got mine in the mail, I’ve been sitting here and the instructions are killing me hoping I could find a video that explained it. I too have to make a 22 inch circle lol and I got this because I’ve made my own wonky ones and the edges were no good.

A scrap of 2×4 with a couple holes would work just as well and last much longer.

FYI, this jig was designed for a plunge router. Picture on the box....

Just measure out your router bit distance from center and predrill, that would be a easier

figures the directions are wrong i had the same problem with that center pin, directions say to put that in first but that's wrong. thought I was doing something wrong.

This guide look like an excellent accessory but after watching a number of videos the plastic doesnt seen that robust. What is the build quality?

Looks like it really "should" be a plunge router to use this completely?

What ryobi router do you have the model number?

Umm you all know a fixed base router the base still raises and lowers correct? The bit isn't too long and the instructions are correct. The guide bushing comes out of the center of Milescraft base to install the center finder. If center finder is still sticking out to far lower the base until it doesn't. Please tell me nobody is leaving the bit out that far to start the circle? Lower the base and make shallow passes until you're done. Sticking two inches of bit into the wood is asking for bad things to happen. Ruined part, something breaks or getting hurt if the bit grabs and jumps from the pivot.
