Once Imam Abu Hanifa was studying. A cat came by and slept on his cloth that was spread in floor. Later when there was call for prayer he was about to stand up and go to mosque but suddenly noticed that sleeping cat. So he cut that part of cloth and left it behind so that the cat can sleep uninterrupted. Because our prophet Muhammad (pbuh) loved cat. And he ordered us to be kind to the animals.
