SKARNER BUG AT WORLDS! (explained)

It looks like we finally got our first proper bug at Worlds 2024!

Special thanks to @lolShimmer on X for letting me know about this bug! I saw it live and was confused - and he told me it was a bug.

I later checked the official Riot's buglist for Worlds - and this bug is there!

Funny how riot broke about 20 ability buffers a few patches ago but instead of fixing it they just added more bugs

i havent point it out anywhere cause its a minor inconvenience, but skarner's E and R both suffer from input queue, where it will cancel ongoing skills, this happens when you multi press Q which causes skarner to not pick up the boulder if a movement command is spammed, he just forgets to execute.

E can get input queue to cancel if additional commands are added, as soon as E starts working, hence the bug here.

Ult gets "locked" unless you spam movement commands (which makes it look like skarner missed his ult for no reason) typically this will happen when he gets stunned before the wind-up starts, after the stun, the ult will execute, and since once the Ult wind-up starts its unstoppable, it will execute no matter what you input. (this happened at worlds, where people bashed a mordekaiser for setting up skarner for his ult, when in reality, morde caster E, skarner saw it, and ulted in response, being dragged and at the end of Ult wind-up, tags the enemy carries)

The fact that they have lists of bugs that they tell pros not to abuse, or that it can occur, but they won't do anything about it is just mind boggling. Like, they won't fix those bugs, but they will fix Viego not stealing the correct chroma the patch it becomes bugged. Really shows their priorities

This bug has been around since the new Skarner released, and it's pretty stressful.

I've been playing skarner since rework and I can't believe they didn't fix it. I had this bug almost in everygame I played him

I have a feeling this has to do with the recent auto-queueing technology they implemented recently that was intended to make it so you dont have to spam channeled abilities and accidentally potentially cancel them when you are trying to cast it while stunned or similar.

Its funny when Im playing Sion and randomly upon respawning I instantly begin channeling my Q.

Even seems like an easy one to fix to prevent E from being buffered twice :/

It is due to the recent patch in which
if you are stunned and u preform action it will preform action after the stun is removed automatically .
the bugged the game XD

For all wondering: It is actually good practice to document a bug rather than fixing it because fixing a bug will might create another one which is than unknown.
