The first song I ever heard outside my mother's womb was Diggin' Up Bones sung to me by my dad. Over a decade later, I got to go to one of Randy's concerts with my dad. It's just one of many great memories I have with my father. Like Randy, my dad had a stroke in 2013 and lost his voice. Sadly, my dad didn't make it to see another Christmas, but before it was over he did manage to get enough of his voice back to be able to sing. And wouldn't you know it, Diggin' Up Bones was one of the songs he'd sing. Till the day I die, Randy Travis's music will be synonymous with Dad. Simply can't think of one without the other.

The country music association really needs to take care of this Talented Young Man! He gave his life to entertain the fans and make music row record companies rich and now its time to payback!!

That's a damn shame. I wish I could help him. He's a legend and doesn't deserve him being broke. God bless you both.

I remember when "country" music was really turning into pop.... Then Randy came around and jerked the REAL country back into the forefront. He is STILL my favorite country male singer...

As a brain injury survivor, I feel his pain in a way of life not being what it was. But things do get better with a lot of hard work, and time. Let's not forget the grieving process that all brain injury survivors deal with of finding themselves again. I pray for a continued recovery for Randy and such a Blessing his wife to stay by his side. That's one really special relationship there. I don't care if he's not exactly the same person he was before. I'm just glad he's still here with us now.

I was lucky enough to see Randy 3 times in concert. Funny, the first time was at the beginning he stood at the microphone and sang, you could tell he was nervous and maybe scarred. A couple years later another concert and he was on top of his game. Love you Mr. Travis.

I got to meet Randy when he was just hitting it big with On The Other Hand. What a down to earth guy. I’ll never forget it was at a club in Marietta, Ga. called Miss Kitty’s . I told him I had played there too and how much I enjoyed his music. He signed a cassette case of Storms of life for me and wrote Greg, Thank You! Randy Travis. Didn’t just sign his name ! Always treasure that, it’s displayed in my home studio. Guys like him were true artist. My wife’s family had a farm in Monroe, NC so we visited Randy’s hometown. I wish Randy the best and his wife the best! Thanks for posting this video!
