The music reminds me a song titled That's My Story and I'm Stickin' To It by Collin Raye. I cant recall if you did that one but if you haven't, look up the official video. It's a riot!

A full month at #1 on the Country chart for this one in early 1995...and yes it did go to #60 on the pop chart as well.
Some other good ones that crossed over are Sammy Kershaw's "Third Rate Romance" from 1994 and John Anderson's "Swingin'" from 1983. The latter was decently redone for a film about a decade ago but the original is better.
