In this video ~ Disability Pride Month: July 2024 ~ we take a look at the annual observance that marks the 1990 passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which prohibits discrimination against disabled persons. This special month honours and celebrates each individual with a disability, and aims to challenge the ableism and stigma that still surrounds disabled people.

I share my own personal experiences of ableism as a chronically ill and disabled person, and outline my hopes for the future.

I'm watching this on July 24th....but, it doesn't matter if it's witch related or not....Besides, I try to watch all the videos you do...
Considering I know those who are disabled anyway....my wife is actually disabled herself...(which I never shared)...I'm aware of the ADA is the US....technically, I'm a caregiver which is very stressful...especially with my age...(something I try not to think about)....But, at least I am watching this today on July 24th...💜

I hear a lot of the same things as well, more so from family (my mother is the worst of them all withose the comments you mentioned and then more), 3 heart issues, scoliosis in my lower spine, now the begining of arthritis in my pelvic/hip and lower back area (which affectsmy hips and walking), panic and anxiety disorder, depression, plus other issues that i dont have answers to yet. People think that eating healthier and getting more exercise is a cure all, its not. If im out for more than 3 hours, on my feet most of the time, im down and out for the next 3-5 days!
