I had this machine with the ribber for a very long time, it lasted years and was a very good workhorse. Within the last year I brought brand new punchcard machine and ribber - it's had to go back for a repair three times

I have a brother machine but would love to get a Toyota one day, mostly because my father has worked for them my whole life. I think it would be cool to have a piece of the company’s history.

I just came across one of these at a thrift store for 50 bucks. It appears to have all the accessories including a knit tracer and super changer. Looking forward to restoring it to fully working condition and seeing what I can do with it.

Great video! I've bought this machine from a lady who seems to have bought every possible accessory that goes with it. I've got a very big learning curve ahead! Loved this intro video and now I just need you to make loads more instructional videos for it lol

Cleand and oiled the card reader mechanism and pins, and greased the cam rods' path with a bit of vaseline based grease and mine is smoother than a brother now. The carriage guides must also be adjusted properly like any other machine and oiled. Yes, the lace carriage is heavier than a brother though but I really love this underrated machine

My daughter is learning how to use this machine. She's got the single bed down, and has set up the double bed today. When we attach them together and try to move it, it gets stuck. The two beds run well separate from each other. We don't want to force it. But we cant figure out why it keeps getting stuck. These are all runs without any thread in the machine. Do you have any idea what might be the problem?

I just ordered my first knitting machine from ebay. The toyota sk901. I got the main bed and carriage, lace carriage, and intarsia carriage. Sadly, no ribber. Hopefully in the future. How can i get the proper punch cards for the machine? I have been told that toyota must have specific cards.

Can't find a replacement brushes for coupling, those bigger ones. Have you seen any in uk?
