DISCUSSION: Venda kingship dispute with Ntsieni Ramabulana

The house of traditional leaders in Limpopo has called on the Ramabulana family to resolve the kingship dispute that is currently before the courts. This follows the supreme court of Appeals decision to set aside the recognition of Toni Mphephu Ramabulana as the King of the Venda tribe.
Princess Masindi Mphephu interdicted the coronation of her uncle Toni in 2016.

It is not true that the King is to be elected by senior traditional leaders. Thus the prerogative of the Mphephu Royal family. However, l strongly believe and know that a person who has occupied the position of uncle or ndumi as per Singo culture is not a candidate of the crown! I also do not support the notion that because of new era girl child should be crown the queen in all families. This is not a gender matter but spiritual matter! The great SPEAR OF THE SINGO HOUSES IS TO BE IN THE HAND OF THE MALE CHILD! People who are trying to fight this are maybe not aware that amongst the VHAVENDA there are SPEARS THAT ARE ONLY HELD BY FEMALES! We do not expect their MALE children to come up with stories of MALE GENDER DISCRIMINATION THERE! LET THE TSHAULU HOUSE BE RULED BY FEMALES EVEN WHEN THE FIRST BORN IS A SON! LET THE VHALOVHEDZI (BALOBEDU) BE RULED BY FEMALES LIKEWISE! IF THE HOUSE OF PATRICK MBULAHENI MPHEPHU IS FAILING TO GIVE AN HEIR, THEY MUST GO BACK TO THE HOUSES OF HIS FATHER MBULAHENI AND CHOOSE THE SECOND HOUSE AND SO ON AND SO ON!
