The xth root of x is very different from x*sqrt(x).

There is a trival solution, x=1. A first root is the same as as having a 1 as an exponent, so we have 1^1-1=1-1=0.

I think there are probably complex solutions as well, but I will that as an exercise for the reading.

Whereas xthrt(x) = x ^(1/x)
