I thought this video was appropriate for today. Being that its MLK day. This quote/video has been my favorite since the day I saw this video. Its something I think about everyday & hopefully, it'll effect you the same way it has me.

I'm not going to sit here & tell you how to live your life, or what to do with it, I just want you think about how you're living it.

These days, speaking against whats normal or whats considered cool isnt very popular these days. Standing up for what you believe in, is never something you ever hear on the news anymore.

Something you might ask is, "So what is considered cool in todays society?"

-Drugs
-Sex
-Money
-Popularity
-Smoking
-Violence&guns
-Being disrespectful
-Using vulgar language
-Media
-Expensive material things
&more.

To me, thats sad & horrifying. I go to school & hear about how my friend got in a fight with a different girl because of a guy. Why is that?

Being different is something thats shunned in society. Look at the world. Be honest with yourself, not with someone elses point of view in mind. Be the round peg in the square hole. Stand up for what you believe in.

I'm 14 years old. My dream is to be in history books as some who changed the world positively. I want to look back at my life when Im 75 & know that I lived my life to the fullest.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

This is so inspirational...thanks for posting it I think most teens need to actually watch this and kno that being diffrent is cool and that if you try hard to be somthing your not you'll lose yourself and you won't be able to get it back. I did that once and I'm still struggling to find out who I really am I have litterally started over and I feel so much better just being me

I'm with you on this girl. I hate the fact that all these bad teenagers that kill people and do drugs are getting the attention and the rest of us have to live with the label of immature and stupid teenagers. some of us have lives. i am smart and i don't drink or anything and i don't get praise or anything for it because they all get the attention and we all get ignored.
