Wow, that ending though! OOF! That’s possibly the most heartbreaking ending to a John-Michael Cup video ever. John had victory at his grasp, but literally the game just said no. I can only guess what others have said, since Eternamax Eternatus’s actual body is up in the air that’s probably where it’s hitbox is. The hand I guess doesn’t count.

I knew Mikey was going to win the moment I saw that Eternatus. That thing likely doesn't have a hit box, and even if it does, it'll take John to a Dynamax raid and Mikey was already at the final route so John was screwed either way.
