Walgreens, CVS to Begin Selling Abortion Pill

Walgreens and CVS just announced they will be able to dispense the abortion pill mifepristone after a yearlong journey to get the proper certifications to do so.

So far the chains will only be able to distribute the pill in states where abortion is legal. Starting next week, the pill will be available in some CVS and Walgreens pharmacies in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, California, and Illinois. The companies are also keeping an eye on other states where limitations on access to abortion medication might change like Kansas, Montana, and Wyoming.

Last year, anti-abortionists sued the FDA in an attempt to ban mifepristone from markets in the U.S. With Walgreens and CVS now able to dispense the drug, doctors can easily prescribe it for patients to pick up if they don't have the pill readily available.

Yea unf Ive been getting my prescriptions at Walgreens. Just found out they charge like $200 more per script on most items for ins scam reasons over other pharmacies. Makes sense big business gets the golden ticket.
