Today I am opening up an art advent calendar from the UK (England/Britain) versus the USA (America) an artist advent is a really fun craft / crafty way to open a surprise mystery inside. I've opened a few before namely by Arteza but one of these art advents is AWFUL and I can't believe it exists lol it isn't because of where it is from so much as the store I bought it from. I'm sure there are many better arty craft advents you can buy in the USA! Let me know if you see them. Arteza for example is phenomenal.

Did you have an advent calendar growing up?? If you could get any art advent calendar what would you like to see in it? 🤔

The us advent calendar was such a disappointment literally getting plain pictures for every day and finding stuff from the dollar store inside 😭

Chloe, hearing you talk about not having friends in school just made me want to give you a hug. As someone who didn't have friends at school until high school, I FEEL YOU. I'm so sorry you went through that - it sucked a lot, especially as an only child. Sending you lots of love! <3

It must be an artist thing - my teen daughter has the hardest time finding friends. She's always sketching and creating comics. She LOVES your videos - thank you for being so open and honest! 💖

The British one is so cute and unique! I’m Canadian and I’ve only ever bought chocolate advent calendars because they’re about all I can find. They sell out so fast but they’re great!

As a fellow advent calendar lover, watching you open everything on the same day just felt illegal xD Great idea for a video!

The crystal art kits do take time but they are also super satisfying! You should try one out! Loved the video!

I grew up with advent calenders and I still love them!
When I was a kid I'd get both a chocolate one and my mother or grandmother (or they would split) would buy little gifts for each day, nothing fancy or expensive, probably what would equal to $1-3 maximum a day - and they'd have the whole year to buy the little gifts. Then when I got a little bit older I then only got the chocolate ones. Now as an adult I buy a calender that you scrape on each day to "collect" symbols in order to maybe win money. Like 10 christmas trees = 1 million DKK, 9 Santa Claus' = 50.000 DKK and so on. And this year I also bought a tea advent calender with a different tea each day instead of the chocolate one.

Hi Chloe, love ur videos but i would appreciate if the music was a little lower cuz sometimes it overpowers ur voice and as someone who gets overwhelmed by too much noise it can be a little bit inconvenient.
Thank u very much, luv u 💕💕

That 12 days of crafting advent calendar was very cute. I think all of the projects would be fun.

I help run the craft table at a reading club for kids in the UK and we literally do those crafts that are in The 12 Days of Crafting kit! The kids love them, the scratch art is 100% their favourite craft to do. The craft table really helps foster a positive environment in the reading club because the kids so look forward to coming to the craft table to do their crafts after reading, which has the knock on effect of making them like reading more in general. Who would have thought that crafts could help kids read more?

I love that UK advent calendar! So creative! And great price! Those are genuinely great crafts.

I've found that the advent calendars I get in Europe are superior than anything I've been been able to get in the USA. That includes the Christmas crackers too.

I didn’t realise advent calendars was more of a British thing! I always get one and now I’m 23 and my mum or dad don’t buy me one, I get one for myself 😂

My local hobby craft and only art shop where I live is really small now :(

The sponsor was more entertaining than the US advent calendar

We get advent calendars in Australia too. So many different brands of lollies/candy and chocolate, and now adult ones with 12 drinks to try over the season or make your own with different surprises. I’ve never seen one like the Target craft one where you just get what to make. It seems like a good idea someone had but they weren’t given much budget to execute the idea.

I hope you're getting enough love now to balance it out for back then. I didn't have much friends at school either, but luckily I had one that stood by my side through it all, even though she could've fit in with the popular kids. I'm pretty sure if she wasn't there I wouldn't still be here now.
You're an amazing person Chloe, you deserve so much love ❤
