White blood cell attacks a yeast cell!

Ya boi is back with some white blood cells in action!

Today I mixed a small sample of my RBCs and WBCs with a solution of bakers yeast - the results do not disappoint!

I've tried to highlight key moments where the WBC consumes a yeast cell.

Most importantly though, I want to talk about you - yes you.

This is an incredible process - a remarkable thing.

You are beautifully made - there is so much going on inside you on a cellular level! Don't forget this :)

All hail the white blood cells. In my youth I've read a book about the human body that called them "soldier" cells

I once battled against pneumonia and TB at the same time at 10 in a hospital. TB was rampant in East Africa and killed hundreds of thousands. My WBC went to war but lost and got depleted. They were almost non-existent. I was moved to a Russian hospital within my poor country (not in Russia), where the Russians gave me plasma, and put a needle through my back rib to siphon out something like a bottle-full of fluid from my lungs. It helped a little.

There's a really strange feeling not having a high WBC. It breaks you; makes you feel powerless not matter how muscular you are. It's like a never-ending fatigue and weakness. I was so so convinced I was ending. My whole inside felt conquered. You really do feel conquered.
