Fyi as someone shopping for a 3d scanner i couldnt care less about cables. All i care about is getting the best possible scanner for the widest possible use cases. If that means cables for a consumer priced scanner so be it.

I just bought one of these. It’s replacing my 7 year old pro plus Einscan scanner. As someone who has owned and used a lot of scanners over the past 25 years, I have to say it’s a great little scanner. It’s not the equal of the $30k high end scanners, but for most scanning tasks it does a very good job.
And apologies to Markdothething but CABLES and having to monitor a scan tethered to a computer really DOES matter. It makes it harder to scan, which means it takes longer and you more often lose tracking.
This little scanner has you looking at the model and the screen simultaneously. It has 3 basic modes depending on size. It allows you to use targets if you need, or mount it fixed and turn the model in front of the scanner. It has enough power to handle even a largish scan with cloud editing, mesh generation and export all with a single charge. It captures color mapping if you want without add ons or extra expense.
It tracks a lot better and recovers from lost tracking better than my older einscan pro plus.
All in all, for only 2 k, it can’t be beat.

Unable to use markers on fast mode is making me regret my vega purchase a bit. I still have to use my wired scanners for objects wirh fewer features. I really hope its something they can add in an update. The new software is easy, but withbreduced features. I wish i could open my scans in the same software I used with my Einstar scanner.

I think the Revo Miraco Plus that uses scale bars and markers has an advantage

Wait so this is compatible with IOS/Mac? I remember when the first Einstar came out it wouldn’t run on apple products

3-2-1 alignment I hope is added a later date. That will be frustrating without it. In exstar it can be done still so just means using both softwares
