Great potato planting video! I am 70 now and am looking to have higher (deeper) beds...Doug and Stacey and self sufficient me were talking about it and now I don't feel so bad that I cannot do the shallow garden boxes anymore!

So jealous. We still have some snow here in Alberta. Luke you sure make the itch a bit less. Right now we are living vicariously through you. Awesome video. Thank you.

Looking at you make me feel so old... I remember watching your vids when you were a teenager... selling “Trifecta” fertilizer haha. I remember your “Deeper Mater” bucket thing... and how close you were to Ray (Praxxis) then Ray had an issue... back at your parents house. Then your cottage / college days and now your a successful married young man. Hope you keep going and have continued success!

Luke, my family is originally from MI. It's been a couple years now that I have been watching your videos. I currently live in the desert, but you still inspire me to keep growing! I am glad I found you! Congrats on all your success!

Everyone give Luke a big thumbs up! Thanks for the video Luke. I'm getting ready to plant some Yukon Gold potatoes. I'm starting slightly later than you considering our last frost date is April 15th. But last year we had a super late Frost which is making me a little scared. Have you heard of German Butterball? I might still see if I can get some of those to try this year. I really love that Yukon Gold though.

I get volunteer potatoes every year in central MO. If they are the size of a marble I just leave them in the ground, sometimes they come as a late harvest but usually they come up after the winter. Many times we have had potatoes already up before the end of March. Love all the varieties... hope you let us know how each grow and the flavors.

Your enthusiasm helps me remember that I WANT to garden when I'm feeling overwhelmed about it. Thanks for your videos 😁

Hello Luke and Family, I just wanted to tell you that I eagerly await all your videos. I have gardened since 1968 (I was 13). Sometimes I had garden space and sometimes I just grew in pots. I am amazed at your knowledge and love the presentations. My only comment to you is that sometimes I don't grow big...I grow in small in pots, in kiddie pools all around my very small yard. I belong to a tiny garden group on Facebook and often share your website for ordering seed. So many struggle to find legit seed sources. I have also ordered from your store with great satisfaction. Thank you for all that you and your family do to promote gardening.

I've got some Red Norlands in buckets for my first ever potatoes, and planted them March 16th (I'm in Houston). They're more than a foot above the soil already, and I'm so excited! If I don't kill 'em, I'm going to add more varieties next year. I finally have a green thumb, and it's largely because of watching your channel. Thanks, Luke!

You have inspired me so much in my garden!! I ordered some seeds from you (ok, a TON of seeds) and have been enjoying 100% germination. Keep up the good work. 🌱♥️

I’m glad you ask for a thumbs up because this old lady forgets sometimes and that helps me to remember.

WoW, 14 varieties...I cant wait to see your harvest! I have 13, 25 gallon grow bags with 4 varieties! Kennebec, Pontiac Reds, Purple Fingerling and Burbank Russet. I planted mine (chitted) the 2nd week of March, Zone 8a and they are doing fantastic, already 2 feet tall. I'm Hopeing for big yields! I grow 2 crops each year, luckily we have an extra long grow season, with very mild almost non existent winters! Good luck
