Sorry, do you have video how to setup openvpn on asustor, because pptp and l2tp is obsolete and removed from android support. I have openvpn on synology and it was pretty straightforward with your instructions, but for some reason it doesn't work on asustor.
Edit: sorted out myself... config file created by asustor was of no use. I used synology nas config file: added my asustor hostname and copied certificate file content into .ovpn file too. And it worked! Have to say that synology config file is much more informative with all explanations in it 😅

Thanks for the video! I set up everything just like you said and the VPN connection is green and I can see it in the NAS, but I cannot open the NAS with the local IP(192.168.35.175) the connection times out. I can only open it with the IP address that I have on the place, same way as if I'm not connected to the local network. Any advice on that?

Thanks but how to connect from and Iphone? you can show us and simulate this by disconnecting from the wifi (home networK0 and use cellular data instead.

Can you please do a video about the workflow with onedrive and synology, because its not possible to setup hyper backup or any other backup for onedrive. Unfortunality cloudsync is not a backup solution. I think a lot of people would appreciate this.

Hi, on my router I only have the options of: external host / internal host / External port / Internal port. I saw a video recommending setting external host to "*" (meaning it did not require more specification). Internal host I guess is my IP-adress? But that leaves only two options for the ports you mentioned (1701, 4500 and 500). I tried it with a couple of them and used my mac over cellular network to check, but did not work, unfortunately...

Is it possible to set up multiple VPNs for the Asustor, so you could have for instance three admins?
