I hate it when the players throw their bats and helmets, it's more of a fuck you to the bat boy than umpire

Hey Joe West found something he is actually good at! This could be the start of a whole new career for him.

The home-plate umpire was (#44/Kerwin Danley), who is the first African American umpire to be promoted crew chief.

Local announcers are almost always idiots. They love to talk about how the umpires had a "short fuse." Danley could/should have tossed Cabrera as soon as he slammed his bat down, but he let it go. Then Cabrera started mouthing off -- we can assume there was an f-bomb or two in there -- and that's when he got tossed.

It's as if the announcers think the umpires should take a few minutes of abuse before ejecting -- at least when it's a guy on their team.

Joe West should've let the bat boy do his job.  What West did wasn't called for.
