i made this yesterday. I use fresh cut-up tomato. Everyone in the family liked it! One thing to comment, please ensure enough parmesan cheese to cover as the cheese will bind the potato to make it possible to roll.

i made this today with sweet potatoes instead. absolutely brilliant! husband loved it. in order to roll perfectly u have to make sure u put plenty of cheese on to get a flat surface and also has to be long enough in length to roll. after reading the comments on here, i thought i wouldn’t be able to roll it, but i managed to do it just fine :) thankyou!

I made this with just a few changes and it turned out great!

Instead of potatoes and Parm, I used a phone and got pizza! ;)

I am commenting because I MADE THIS ... First ... Man oh Man was it good, there is barely enough left for me for Monday when my wife goes to play cards with her lady friends Secondly .... Yes you need that much cheese to bind the potatoes together, any less and it would not roll .... And its Shredded Cheese not grated (from the ingredient list) Next I wll be contacting Julie K about her ingredient list, its wrong and incomplete Some insights .... Start layering with the larger pieces of potatoes first and roll from the end with the small pieces ... Yes they probably cut up 10lbs of potatoes to get all of them the same size, that does not happen in real life kitchens lightly oil the pan before putting down the parchment paper ... use 1 pound of hamburger, any more and the roll is to big .... cook hamburger separately so you can drain the liquid off ... cook the garlic first to infuse the flavor into the oil then add the spinach .... We thought that was to little spinach but it the end it was okay ...and lastly let the potatoes cool before loading and rolling .... Thanks for reading

Just made this. Turned out awesome. No additional salt. Cheddar cheese on the top of the potatoes. Used cumin, chili powder, and Italian seasoning with the beef mixture. Rolled easily. Need to add more spinach next time. Just wonderful. Salad with it also. Sour cream really added to the dish. Will make it again and again.

I made this!! My family Loved it too!! The only thing is that I made a few adjustments like I didn't have any paprika, so I used a smidge of chili powder, and I didn't have the ricotta or spinach, so I used some diced up green bell pepper, garlic salt, onion and 4 diced up roma tomatoes since they are meatier than other tomatoes.. I know it took a long while for it to bake etc.. next time I will either make it more into a pizza or I will try to use chicken, broccoli and cream cheese in the middle.. Possibilities are endless!!
The only problem I had with mine is that it flattened out after taking it out of the oven and even fell apart in the middle.. Next time, I think I will slice the potatoes length wise so they can over lap better.. Thank you for this cool video!! ps, I do have pictures of my creation...lol

Being a vegetarian (and loving potatoes) this recipe is freaking awesome. I like it when they make recipes where I can easily replace the meat with tofu or other things. It will be cool to experiment with this by adding more vegetables

Yay I finally made it. Made the mistake of using aluminum foil instead of parchment paper but the flavor was pretty good. I added cayenne pepper to my ground beef and I am pretty happy with the results. Thank you for sharing these techniques
