Why I fight for the education of refugee girls (like me) | Mary Maker

After fleeing war-torn South Sudan as a child, Mary Maker found security and hope in the school at Kenya's Kakuma Refugee Camp. Now a teacher of young refugees herself, she sees education as an essential tool for rebuilding lives -- and empowering a generation of girls who are too often denied entrance into the classroom. "For the child of war, an education can turn their tears of loss into a passion for peace," Maker says.

I had goosbumps when i heared this angelic and strong voice telling us how lucky are we to live and how selfish we were not to thank god for that. I hope all peace for refugees, the most kind persons in the world, may them be able to realise all there dreams.

Despite of status, skin colour and gender, every human should be treated equally, no one deserves discrimination, no one deserves to be stereotyped!!!

I bet you guys think I only work with music around. Wrong, I continue learning as all of us should. I would encourage everyone that is interested in education, in refugees, immigrants, and children to listen to this. It is very important. Oh, and the refrigerator looks better too. And to answer the other question, there are differences between boys and girls, we learn different AND we are treated different.
