I think this song is about being depressed (i mean really, as a sickness). Depression is like a vampyre that sucks away your feeling of time and memory and most of your emotions (i feel no love). I had a depression myself and recognize this all too well. For me this is a brilliant song.

I've heard this tune many, many times since the day I picked up the album the day it came out, June 3rd 2013.
However, I never heard it the way I heard it today, and for that I'm grateful.
When a piece of art can make you feel like it's okay to not feel okay, that things might get better, and they also might not, but that if they don't, then you better start changing your perception and reaction to them real fuckin' quick-
is a blessing in itself.
