Paul was in a Porsche Carrera GT driven by his friend Roger Rodas. At high speed, they crashed first into a lamppost, and then flew off into a tree. Upon impact, the car burst into flames, killing them both.

Investigators stated that the Porsche's speed was 94 mph (151 kph) when it crashed.

The cause of the car crash could be old 9 year old tires

I have been a car enthusiast since I was a kid, but I only learned that TIRES are the NUMBER ONE thing that will enhance safety & performance!
I was trying to learn how I could make my car go faster, and instead, I stumbled upon engineering explained saying that tires are what should be your first focus when wanting to improve performance, but that it also improves saftey. Engine helps you go faster, but tires help you go faster, stop faster, turn better, AND recover from loss-of-control quicker!

DON'T RUN OLD/BAD TIRES! And run the CORRECT tire for the weather & type of use too!

So pretty much the pole and tree is what killed them- the pole killed the driver and the tree killed Paul- the coroner said Paul was alive before the fire caught up to him but I think either way he would have died in the ambulance ride or in the hospital- the fire just pretty mush burned their bodies so no one can see their bodies or another term cremated them.

I remember the night I heard the news that Paul Walker passed away. My stepdad had told me and I was in disbelief and denial. I went on my computer to see if it was true and it was. Can’t believe it has been almost 10 years. Rest Easy Paul.

I don’t know if anyone heard of Daily Driven Exotics but Damon had a right rear suspension failure on his CGT and a technician that’s worked on them said it was common cause the way the suspension is set into the car so they were thinking that could have caused Paul and Roger to crash and maybe some speeding due to the major impact.

Lesson learned: If you're going to be racing/traveling at high speed, make sure to inspect your car and if your tires are 9-years-old...change them.
