I purchased Jasmine seeds online… Here’s what grew!

Growing jasmine from jasmine seeds purchased online. Surprising result. Absolutely different #plantgrowing instead of #jasmine. What is the plant I actually grew? I recognise that plants. It is Mirabilis. Before ordering seeds by mail from any online store, you need to understand the biological characteristics of the desired plant. For example, I bought Arabian-jasmine seeds or #Sambacjasmine seeds on the Internet. I know that most jasmine species do not reproduce by seeds at all. It should not be confused with the Philadelphus bushes, which, however, propagates by seeds and which is often called jasmine due to the similarity of colors and smell, but these are different, not even related plants) I will read you a brief information. Jasminum sambac is an evergreen vine or shrub reaching up to 3 m tall. The species is highly variable, possibly a result of spontaneous mutation, natural hybridization. Cultivated Jasminum sambac generally do not bear seeds and the plant is reproduced solely by cuttings, layering, and other methods of asexual propagation.

Exactly what happened to me. I should have researched jasmine first- it just sounded so exotic. My flowers look exactly like the 4 o'clock plant that you show at 2:20 min into your video. Buyer beware :)

You are absolutely right because I had almost a year waiting this seed just germinated and then never came out again I feel really heartbroken cause gardenia or Jasmine meaning a lot to me😢

I have harvested black seeds from my own pink jasmine variety. It is rare they produce fruits with seeds, but sure enough I have some and am growing the babies in planters. I don’t know the scientific name but this jasmine is vine like and smells amazing.

Jasmine is from the olive family, jasmine seeds looks like dried small black olives, here in Tunisia jasmine shrubs bare small olive like fruits in winter
