How to reset the Volvo V50, C30, S40; 2004 - 2012 service maintenance reminder or overdue warning message light. This procedure may also work for similar Volvo models.
Very simple, no tools required.
Make sure all doors, tailgate and bonnet (hood) are closed.
Insert key to position 0.
Turn key to position 1.
Press in the trip reset button and immediately turn key to position 2 while keeping your finger on the button.
When orange information light flashes and you hear a comfirmation sound, take your finger off the button.
Service message should now be cleared.
