Hobby Boss bought the SdKfz 221 molds from a model kit manufacturer named Tristar. Tristar sold all their molds to Hobby Boss when they exited the industry. The SdKfz 221 was designed based on original German vehicle manuals. I was involved in the design process

I will always remember how friendly and easy to talk to you all were when I visited a few years ago.

I love this Q&A solution to YT push for “shorts”. Plus it’s very interesting and efficient way to respond to questions!

I think a lot of those model kits have been for sale for many decades and the actual info was probably more readily available back then. With the specs more than likely recorded on paper and the rigours of time I'd say they didn't last long enough to make it to the digital age. Purely speculation on my part though

My favorite museum. In Cairns, Australia. I enjoy it more and more every time I go there.

I agree, an Africa corp paint scheme would be super pretty on this vehicle

‘We’ll see what the people want’
‘That’s always dangerous, Kirk’

Never have there been truer words spoken on the internet.

German panzer grey would be historically accurate for this vehicle

More a general question, but hoe do they reapply the rubber to road wheels such as on tanks etc? Or applied rubber in the original manufacturing of the vehicles?

You stated that the 221's equipped with the panzerbuchse were rare. Did any so equipped 221's go to Africa?
