Thousands attend pro-Palestine rally in London

Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators marched in central London on Saturday, calling for an end to Israel's military action in the Gaza Strip, which was triggered by last weekend's rampage in Israel by the Hamas militant group.

Protesters, many of them waving Palestinian flags and signs reading 'Free Palestine', gathered close to Oxford Circus from where they planned to head to Downing Street. Chants were aimed at the governments of Britain and the United States for supporting Israel.

Earlier on Saturday, the headquarters of the BBC, located close the start of the march, was daubed in red paint. Pro-Palestinian protests were planned in other cities around the world on Saturday

There's a big difference between horrific Hamas brutality and the unending suffering of Palestinians suffering consequences just as there is a huge difference between antisemitism and the criticism of Israeli government politics that nobody is allowed to express without being accused of antisemitism. My heart goes out to the terrible suffering of on both sides.

Glad to hear someone saying Palestine is not Hamas and opposing Netanyahu is not antisemitism. In the last days there have been some absolutely gross reactions online of people cheering the last attack and we have to draw distinction between the civilians that die on both sides and the terrorists

Instead of draining police force and causing chaos+traffic problems, is it not better to do extra shifts at work and donate the money to the cause of your choice? Japan now has a stronger determination not to accept immigrants.
